me: mum, can i have either a notebook or a netbook?

mum: notebook? for what?

me: for home use and school maybe..

mum: just go and buy yourself from the shop downstairs.

mum: why dont u just say laptop. its not as if i know all those stuff. if u really want it, i'll talk to dad abt it ok?
